BHUBANESWAR: Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha launched 27
industrial projects including – solar power, cement, steel and other
infrastructural projects worth Rs 8,939 crore.
These projects are estimated to create employment opportunities for about
12,142 people.
Patnaik launched five projects at Kharvel Bhawan and performed groundbreaking
of 22 other projects through a video conference including Hindalco Industries’
Rs 5,000 crore aluminum project and Aditya Birla Renewable’s Rs
352.50 crore solar power plant.
In order to focus on better governance and commissioning of the projects,
Government of Odisha has adopted 5T strategy – Teamwork, Technology,
Transparency, Time leading to Transformation.
The five projects launched by the CM were – OCL India’s cement plant worth Rs
1,994.98 crore, expansion of Suraj Product’s steel facility in Sundergarh
costing Rs 50.25 crore, grinding unit of Shree Cement Limited’s in Cuttack
costing Rs 452.55 crore, Pro Mineral’s Rs 238.97 crore iron ore pelletisation
plant in Keonjhar, and Omjay EV’s Rs 52.41 crore unit in Jajpur.
