CM announces 54 new development works in Yamunanagar district

YAMUNANAGAR: Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana announced on October 28 that 54 new development works involving an investment of Rs. 60 crore would be undertaken in the Radaur segment of Yamunanagar district.

Prior to addressing the rally in Damla Village in Radaur, he laid the foundation stone of a bridge involving an investment of Rs. 104 crore.

The bridge would connect Haryana to Uttar Pradesh and would be constructed on the Yamuna in Sandhala village. He said that it would be the third bridge in the district and eighth in the state on the Yamuna.

CM said, “Our government has undertaken development works worth Rs 1,500 crore in the district in the past four years.”

He announced that 120 ‘kutcha’ pathways connecting farmers’ agricultural fields to their villages would be metalled at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

He said that the works include one Ambedkar Bhawan each in 15 villages, building of a mini-secretariat in Radaur, and widening of the Radaur-Jathlana road from 5 metres to 7 metres.

He also announced that due to the increase in traffic, the stretch from Damla to Radaur would be made a four-laned road.

Providing major relief to the residents of Yamunanagar district, he said that the toll plaza in Damla village on the Yamunanagar-Kurukshetra road would be abolished from November 1.

“A total of 68 colonies in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri have been regularised. The government will provide Rs. 60 crore for development works in these colonies,” said CM.

He assured Shyam Singh Rana, MLA of Radaur that all demands concerning development works of the municipal committee would be met.

CM said, “Our government made licensing free for the plywood industry in the district with an aim to promote industry and generate employment.”

He said that the district would get electricity supply round the clock after two months under the ‘Mhara Gaon, Jagmag Gaon’ scheme.
