BENGALURU, Karnataka: The Government of Karnataka has approved the proposal to give one day off per week to municipal workers. Earlier, the civic workers get two half days per week.
Instruction regarding the weekly holiday for the civic workers was issued by the Department of Urban Development in Karnataka on appeal of the civic workers stating the difficulties they face.
However, the holiday will granted if the individual has at least 85 per cent attendance, and the cleaning work should not be affected.
