RAIPUR: The Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme is being implemented by the Urban Administration and Development Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. The programme offers medical care and medication to the urban population residing in slum regions throughout the state. Under this scheme, so far, free medical treatment has been provided to 22,42,235 people. 3,17,740 health checkup camps have been organised by the Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) in slums of 169 urban bodies in the state. Beneficiaries receive free consultations, medical care, medications, and lab test facilities at the medical camps organised under the programme.
Beginning on November 1, 2020, the programme was later made available to all municipal organisations in the state’s urban districts.
