NEW DELHI: Canada has offered funding of $10 million to the Indian Red Cross Society to support them in procurement of essential supplies amidst the COVID-19 crisis that India is facing right now. In a bid to extend its support to India, Karina Gould, Canada’s Minister of International Development, had announced that Canada will be providing fund of $10 million for humanitarian assistance to the Indian Red Cross Society and its response to the devastating situation in India, which has been only worsening for the past few weeks.
An official release from the Government of Canada said that this funding will support the procurement of essential supplies, medicines, blood and plasma, medical oxygen cylinders for clinic and ambulances in India.
