KARNATAKA: A two-hour long drive from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) airport can be covered now within 12- minutes. All thanks to BLADE India, an urban air mobility company that has launched helicopter flights between KIA and HAL. It is easily accessible from Indiranagar and Koramangala.
The service can be availed every weekday from 9 am to 4.15 pm through the company’s website. The initial cost of each flight is Rs 3,259 excluding taxes. Passengers will reach Bengaluru city centre within 15 minutes from BLADE helipad in BK Halli, Hennur.
The company has mentioned that more flights will be initiated soon from other cities. The company will be working with AIRBUS and Eve Air Mobility and swap conventional helicopters with Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing Aircraft.
