BENGALURU, Karnataka: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is planning to send a study team to Chennai, Hyderabad and Indore to adopt some of their best practices in the field of Waste management.
Tushar Giri Nath, Chief Commissioner, BBMP, informed that the tour plan will be prepared in two days. He added that DK Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister, has asked the civic body officials to visit cities in Karnataka as well as other pioneer cities of India in the waste management sector. After the conclusion of this study tour, the civic body will formulate a detailed report on what processes could be replicated in Bengaluru city.
