DISPUR, Assam: The Governor of Assam Professor Jagdish Mukhi, on Monday, July 18, launched the U-Report for Suraksha Campaign – an interactive digital tool to raise awareness among young population of the state regarding cyberbullying.

Speaking on the launch of the U-Report for Suraksha Campaign, Prof Mukhi highlighted the importance of youth to understand their rights and safeguard themselves in online spaces.

He also praised the efforts made by different agencies like the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), National Sample Survey (NSS), Assam State Commissioner for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR) and WAY foundation to inform the youth about the potential risk related to cyberspace.

The U-Report for ‘Suraksha’ Campaign is an interactive tool created to raise awareness, among youth population, about cyberbullying corporal punishment as well as the available redressal mechanisms.

When you follow the twitter account @UReportIndia or like the Facebook page, quizzes and alerts are sent via messages, and the replies received are compiled on the website. Later the results of the quizzes and concepts are forwarded to the communities of young people and decision-makers.
