DISPUR, Assam: The Government of Assam has officially launched the “Assam Urban Services” app, an upgraded version of the integrated web portal intending to enhance the ease of living for the citizens. The app was launched by Ashok Singhal, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of Assam, and is available on the Google Play Store.
Minister Singhal posted in X, “The mobile app will enable citizens to access all services of all municipal bodies of Assam, including Guwahati Municipal Corporation, through their mobile phones. The portal, which has been updated with several new features, will consolidate all the information of the branch departments of the Housing and Urban Affairs Department, as well as all the municipal bodies in the state and serve as a one-stop platform for the public to access departmental services online.”
The app is equipped with features such as water connection, business license, booking of theatres and playgrounds, film shooting, traffic tracking, details of schemes initiated by the departments and municipal bodies, OBPS, TDR, and cesspool, as well as raising public complaints. The minister asked the citizens to download the app to avail all the municipal facilities.
