GUWAHATI: Around 25 states of India are now 100 per cent electrified on the end of 2018. But there are few states which lack electricity in some regions. According to a government statement, about 10.48 lakh households are still need to be electrified in states of Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. Assam tops the list where around 5.5 lakh households are still not electrified followed by Rajasthan which have around 2.67 lakhs un-electrified households. Meghalaya has around One lakh households un-electrified and Chhattisgarh has 35 thousands households that lackelectrification.
As per Saubhagya Scheme’s dashboard, Assam’s Dhubrihas around 44 thousands un-electrified households which is more than any district in state.
Centre launched the Saubhagya scheme in September 2017 had the target to electrify every household of the country by March 2019.
