ITANAGAR, Arunachal Pradesh: Arunachal Pradesh Start-up Policy has been approved by the state cabinet on Monday, May 30, to promote the start-up and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state.
Under the Arunachal Pradesh Start-up Policy, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh aims to create at least 250 new companies and make Arunachal Pradesh a global hub of innovation and entrepreneurship with the help of proactive and facilitating policy intervention and institutional support. It will generate direct as well as indirect employment in the state. The policy is aiming to attain the above mentioned ambitious targets in the next five years.
The state government has introduced various programmes and initiatives to boost the start-up ecosystem in the state with emphasis on ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Arunachal Pradesh. The state government is looking to promote innovation, research and development in the state, developing an institutional mechanism to provide financial support, regulatory sandbox, and increasing public procurement from start-ups. With greater emphasis on start-up and innovation, the state government aims to boost the overall growth and development of Arunachal Pradesh.
Additionally, the state cabinet has also approved a proposal to give a special grade to the head constable in Civil Police and Arunachal Armed Police Battalion (AAPBs), to those who have been serving for 20 years. Also, the approval has been granted to establish two new circle headquarters in the west Kemang district, one in the Nafra sub-division and the other in the Dirang sub-division.
Approval has also been granted to Modified Assured Career Programme (MACP) for government school teachers and the regularisation of former contractual TGTs under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shikshas under the Directorate of Secondary Education. An exam strategy has been adopted for the direct recruitment of Junior Engineers. Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will now conduct a common recruitment examination for Junior Engineers and other analogous posts in other work departments of the state.
Pakke Tiger Ministerial Declaration Action Report, 2047, and time-bound enforcement of the plastic ban in the state were also highlighted at the meeting. Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh posted on Twitter “In line with Pakke Tiger Reserve Ministerial Declaration 2047, the State cabinet today decided to formulate a time bound comprehensive plan for a Plastic-free Arunachal Pradesh.”
