Andhra Pradesh to have only one capital now

AMARAVATI: Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh announced on Monday, November 22 that Andhra Pradesh will now have Amaravati as its one and only capital. Prior to this, Andhra Pradesh had three capitals – Amaravati as legislative capital, Vishakhapatnam as executive capital, and Kurnool as judicial capital. With this announcement, the cabinet of the state will withdraw the Three Capitals Bill and inform the high court of the decision.
