All municipal meetings to be held online in Maharashtra

MUMBAI: On Monday, December 3, the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, mandated all municipal corporations to convene all mandatory meetings through video conferencing or online. The directive was issued in response to the rising number of instances of the COVID-19 infection. In addition, the state administration has placed limitations on all types of gatherings.

All general body meetings, standing committee meetings, and other statutory committee meetings shall be conducted by video conference, according to the order. It went on to say that in a month, the COVID-19 issue would be reviewed. Further decisions will be made based on that report.
