GUWAHATI, Assam: President of India Ramnath Kovind, on May 4, launched a web portal ‘Advancing North East’ for the development in the field of education and entrepreneurship among the youth of north-eastern states.
The web portal ‘Advancing North East’ will be a one-stop solution for the young population of the north-eastern states of India in the field of education and entrepreneurship. It will fulfil the guidance and mentorship needs of the youth and will look to increase the employment opportunities, development of entrepreneurship support ecosystem and education that will entail the development of the region.
The function was organised by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region Government of India, and it also organised the 7-day festival that was being celebrated on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which started on April 28, and ended on May 4.
The function was attended by the First Lady of India Savita Kovind; G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Development of North Eastern Region; Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Law and Justice, Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Port, Shipping and Waterways, Governors and Chief Ministers of northeastern states.
