Gujarat ULBs to get ₹10.77 crore for development projects

GANDHINAGAR, Gujarat: The state government has granted the in-principle approval to allot ₹10.77 crore for six municipalities in Gujarat for 109 development works.

Officials informed that this fund will be provided to residential societies for the development works undertaken in partnership with the government.

In these projects, the state government will cover 70 per cent of the cost, residential societies will contribute 20 per cent, and the local body will pay 10 per cent of the total project cost.

These 109 projects will be implemented in six municipalities: Kalol, Surendranagar, Dudhrej, Patan, Viramgam, and Jasdan.

The statement said that under this partnership scheme, the state government has allocated ₹3,692 crore for the 43,726 development projects. This scheme will benefit the residential societies in projects such as paving the roads, constructing new stormwater drains, installing street lights, rainwater harvesting systems etc.
