HYDERABAD: The Department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Government of Telangana has sanctioned Rs 2410 crore to Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) for the purpose of building 104 missing link roads identified within the limits of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and adjoining 10 urban local bodies. A government order on administrative sanction was issued by Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, MA & UD, Government of Telangana, which directs the HRDCL to take up 50 roads at a cost of Rs 1500 crore on a priority basis.
The HRDCL is taking up the development of missing link roads to reduce traffic on main roads and improve alternate road connectivity. This would create multiple new routes such as Gollapally national highway junction to ORR service road, Raj Bhavan Road to R&B guest house, Vanasthalipuram Road to Old Hayathnagar Road, Ameenpur village to HMT colony in Miyapur, and link road from Begumpet railway station, Prakash Nagar to Brahmanwadi railway track via Welkin Park station.
