NEW DELHI: The United Nations in India launched a new climate campaign ‘We The Change’. This climate movement aims to bring together young climate change activists to spring up dialogue with decision-makers. Young leaders from around the nation and from different social strata will amplify solutions, inspire collective action and work jointly with the government to ensure that India’s future is green, sustainable, and just.

Reports with solutions have been developed by 17 young Indians to provide governing bodies with all the information required to make important decisions regarding climate change. These 17 young activists will also work to involve other Indian youth to participate in the campaign.

This group of 17 will develop solutions for various sectors from renewable, forest management, sustainable agriculture, disaster risk reduction, ecosystem restoration, to financing, climate entrepreneurship, water conservation, and waste management. Their focus will remain on strengthening engagement with governments and society.
