INDORE: The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is gearing up for Swachh Survekshan 2021 by redecorating the city’s walls and roads, apart from maintaining supreme cleaning standards. The walls are being painted with local, festive, and cultural artwork, etc. IMC is also planning to depict paintings of artist Goga Dev, who played a very important role in cleaning. IMC will also install colorful lights along the roads. The emphasis on city beautification comes from the desire to meet parameters of Swachh Survekshan, which focusses on visual aspects of cleanliness too.

Pratibha Pal, Commissioner, IMC, says that the citizens of Indore actively help the IMC in maintaining the cleanliness of the city, and she expects them to continue helping IMC this year as well. Indore has been continuously winning the award for cleanest city of India since 2017, and IMC aims to win the award this year as well.
