NEW DELHI: Indian employees like the advantages ‘increased autonomy’, ‘dispersed the team’ effect, and ‘faster decision-making’, that work-from-home regime brought with itself. Now, most of them want to stay in the work-from-home regime in 2021 as well, said Cisco Systems.
Working from home was introduced as an alternation at the start of the lockdown due to the pandemic, but most Indian office-goers wanted to hold on to the positives, which also includes the ‘overall flexibility’ of the work that came out of the pandemic-brought new normal.
According to a Cisco study titled ‘Workforce of the Future’, approximately 90 per cent of Indian employees are comfortable with a hybrid work model in the future. More than 14,000 participants across 14 markets in the Asia Pacific, including more than 1,000 participants from India, were part of the study released on Wednesday, December 9.
Most of the workers believe that their employers’ 2021 budget should focus on investing in technologies necessary for remote work.
