NEW YORK: Bill Gates, Co-founder, Microsoft, in conversation with CNN, said that the US is not doing enough to contain the pandemic as more people are dying on the daily and because of their lack in leadership to tackle the situation globally, developing countries such as Brazil and India are bearing the impact of this disease.
Gates dismissed the White House’s claim that number of cases are increasing as a result of increased testing, he said that it is true that more cases can be found when more testing is done but the US is experiencing a rebound, even if for once increased testing factor is excluded.
He further said testing capacity will continue to increase in the fall, but it is not the reason for increase in cases and also said that the country is still very much in the thick of things even if the New York or the New York area is excluded.
