No Movement Zone created in Warangal

Warangal Urban: With a view in sudden spike in Corona positive cases, the Warangal district authorities have identified some localities as vulnerable areas and declared them as ‘no movement zones’. Residents in these areas are directed by officials to not venture out, and people from outside are not allowed to enter in these areas.

Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, District Collector and V Ravinder, Police Commissioner released a joint statement declaring Eidgah, Kumarpally, Mandi Bazaar, Julaiwada, Subedari, Pochamma Maidan, Char Bowli, Nizampura , Laxmipuram, Kashibugga, Ganesh Nagar, Rangampet, Bapujinagar, Shambhunipet, and Chintagattu camp under Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits as No Movement Zones.

The joint statement said if people living in no moment zone faces any problem they can call on toll free number 1800 425 1115 at the collectorate for any help. The residents were told that they will be provided with door step delivery of vegetables and other essential commodities.

To enforce the decision and check the movement of the people barricades and check posts have been set up.. The officials also warned that they would take stringent action against those who violate the directives.

“A total of 25 teams have been formed to supply the vegetables and other commodities to a total of  41,783 houses in 67 colonies in 15 areas in the city,” the Collector said.

These steps were enforced after 22 cases of COVID-19 positive cases were reported in district on April 4.
