NEW DELHI: A survey carried out by LocalCircles has noted that hospitals have been receiving at least 50 to 60 cases of viral infection on a daily basis in Delhi. This information has been derived on the basis of answers that respondents have submitted to the survey body.
People who participated in the survey were asked about the number of individuals in their households having flu-like symptoms like running nose, cough, fever, or headache. “Almost 11 per cent said that there is only one individual with the above mentioned symptoms and 72 per cent of Delhi’s surveyed residents said no one in their household has such symptoms,” the survey stated. However, 28 per cent households in Delhi have at least one or more affected members. These cases are a cause for concern amidst lingering fears of a possible third wave of coronavirus. The Delhi government has been advised by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to continue vigorous testing to keep the spread in check.
