121 polluting factories demolished in Ghaziabad since October 15

GHAZIABAD: With the aim of controlling air pollution in ad around the city, a total of 121 polluting factories have been razed in Ghaziabad’s Loni town since October 15. According to Ajay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate, a dozen units have been demolished on Tuesday, October 27, itself. The demolition is part of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) which has been implemented in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).

Pandey told PTI that the administration is taking all necessary steps to curb air pollution in Ghaziabad, with polluting industries being demolished and hefty fines being levied on violators of pollution norms.
