UP Govt to raise living standards of deprived communities

LUCKNOW, Uttar Pradesh: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has prepared an action plan to fulfill the needs of the Musahar, Saharia, Vantanghia and nomadic communities in Uttar Pradesh to transform their life style.

 According to the action plan, government will seek to give these communities housing options as well as employment prospects. The government will also endeavour to increase their access to fundamental services, education, and training in vocational fields.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, has given the departmental officers clear instructions to ensure the welfare of these people. By allotting land through the Revenue Department and facilitating the establishment of companies close to these communities’ residential areas, the officials have been instructed to provide facilities to these communities under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

Through a special campaign of Jan Suvidha Kendra, these families will also be connected to the MGNREGA programme by being given an employment card. In addition, the administrators have been told to locate every family, guaranteeing that all of their children are enrolled in the neighbourhood in primary, secondary, and upper secondary schools, and scholarships are being provided to each and every one of them.

Additionally, as part of the (PDUSY) Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swarozgar Yojana of the Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation Ltd., the officials have been instructed to provide free training through district-level skill development institutions to the adult members of the underprivileged communities in accordance with their level of education and employment capacity.
