Tezpur to install CCTV cameras for security surveillance

TEZPUR: Sonitpur police have decided to install CCTV cameras in Tezpur town to monitor various activities in town. Tezpur town is situated along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border near the international border with China.

Kumar Sanjeet Krishna, superintendent of Sonitpur police said, “A number of CCTV cameras will be installed in Tezpur town to monitor various activities in town. We have selected several points where the proposed CCTV cameras will be installed. And we have already strengthened security in every bordering area and arrangement has been made for regular checking at every point.

The decision has taken just after grenade blast in Guwahati, in which eight people died.
