Tamil Nadu wins Digital India Award

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu has won the gold award under the category of ‘Excellence in Digital Governance – State/Union Territories (UT)’ at the Digital India Award, 2020. According to the official release, the award was presented by President Ram Nath Kovind during a virtual ceremony on Wednesday, December 30.

The Digital India awards were constituted under the authority of National Portal of India to fulfill the purpose of bringing innovative digital solutions to the forefront in the country. The awards acknowledge states and UTs which show their initiative in establishing a comprehensive digital presence in the sectors which lead to achieving the sustainable development goals.
