PRAYAGRAJ: In an attempt to raise literacy and job oriented, technical education among the minorities of Uttar Pradesh, the district minority welfare department has been assigned the task of operation of smart classes for minorities at schools and madarsas of five villages and in different blocks of Prayagraj. This step is being taken under the PM’s Janvikas Kalyan Yojna. ITI and Sadbhavna Bhawan would also be constructed here.
SP Tiwari, district minority welfare officer, said that the administration has issued orders to identify the villages and check the requirements. “There are plans to run smart classes in the new session. Places are being selected at different blocks for opening Sadbhawna Bhawan,” Tiwari added. The classes would be running according to the directions provided to the department by the schools. The administration has asked to carry out a survey and verification in the blocks for providing benefits under the scheme. Villages at a distance of five kilometers are to be selected and the budget would be finalised and forwarded for smart classes and ITI as per the requirement.
