CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann approved the construction of a modern residential complex in Mohali, on Monday. According to an official statement, the decision was made by CM Mann at a high-level meeting of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Government of Punjab held at his residence.
CM Mann stated that it was necessary to create the township in order to give affordable accommodation to the residents in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. The officers of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority were instructed to mull over it and come up with a good proposal. CM Mann emphasised that the township will be a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and luxury, as well as all safety features, such as fire suppression and others, in order to provide the best residential services to the residents. He believes that a portion of the township should be built as an industrial township, where business leaders from throughout the country might be invited to invest.
Mohali has good road, air, and train connectivity, according to CM Mann, and the projected township has a lot of room for expansion and prosperity.
