NEW DELHI: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) served notices to authorities of 30 schools, housing societies and institutions to submit auxiliary review reports in order to verify their seismic soundness. SDMC official said that they have been conducting a survey to identify high-rise buildings and structures under its jurisdiction to examine their seismic stability. The Corporation is also urging Resident Welfare Associations and housing societies to approach it for proper consultation. He added they have issued notice to 30 more residential group housing societies, educational institutions, and schools to submit a structure audit report within a span of 30 days to ensure seismic stability of the buildings and also mentioned that building owners are responding to the notices and have started approaching SDMC.
