RANCHI: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has initiated a sanitation drive in all of its 53 wards on Tuesday, January 4, keeping in mind the upsurge in COVID-19 cases in the state capital. Mayor Asha Lakra informed that civic body workers have been deployed for the task. Moreover, the RMC workers have sanitised areas that are highly populated. Lakra further appreciated that people are contributing to the work of the municipal workers and they are not facing any kind of resistance. Workers have been equipped with spray guns and they are targeting cleaning up of small and big drains in the area. A similar sort of drive was launched in 2020, in the initial phases of a pandemic to contain the spread.
