AMRITSAR, Punjab: Devinder Singh, Commissioner of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, had a meeting with the officials of the building branch to discuss the issue of illegally constructed structures.
The B&R officials have been asked to take strict action against such illegally constructed buildings. Earlier the officials demolished illegal buildings erected on Ladowali road. The officials warned that they will continue this exercise in the next few days.
Another meeting was held on Monday, November 1, concerning the construction work of town hall buildings. Apart from Julie Khanna, several department officials and other architects involved in the project were also present at the meeting.
Commissioner informed that no work order has been issued till now as the civic body is yet to receive a no objection certificate (NOC) from the Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC). He informed the officials that they hope to obtain NOC by this week, after which they will release the work orders.
