Major fire danger for Australia as temperatures break records

SYDNEY: Sydney, including other parts of Australia, dripped with sweat through the hottest November night on record with temperatures suspected to stay high on Sunday, November 30, persuading authorities to issue a total fire ban. Sydney Central Business District exceeded 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday, November 29, while the stretches of western New South Wales, South Australia and Northern Victoria overheated through even higher temperatures, almost 45 degrees Celsius.

Australia has been witnessing hotter and much longer summers with last season called Black Summer by Scott Morrison, Prime Minister of Australia, because of the unusual prolonged and fierce bush fires that burned approximately 30 million acres, killed 33 people and about 1 billion animals.
