BENGALURU: The Government of Karnataka has come up with an awareness campaign to sensitise people about ‘Sakala’, a law which guarantees delivery of citizen services within a limited time. The move will aware the people to use online channels to buy commodities and get the services they need.
The Sakala Mission is the government organisation which implements the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2011. It has launched a pilot programme on Tesz.in which is a free portal for government departments assisted by the Kerala Start-up Mission. The online platform will provide all the information related to Sakala, including the services provided by the entity, workflows and other services notified by law.
Sakala and all other related departments have drafted their nodal officers to answer the queries and confusions of the citizens. B R Mamatha, Additional Mission Director, Sakala, said that the people can either post their queries on the platform or read the already posted queries on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). She added that the authorities will ensure that all the responses are getting answered with pace and that the platform is open to all.
