J&K AC approves transfer of land for public purposes

JAMMU: The Administrative Council (AC) chaired by Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, met today to approve the Revenue Department’s proposal to transfer various parcels of land for public purposes.

Amongst those who attended the meeting were Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor; Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K; and Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor.

Land measuring 06 Kanal was transferred to Jal Shakti Department by the AC for construction of Over Head Tank (OHT)/Rapid Sand Filtration Plant (RSFP)/Pump cum operator quarter WSS Barzulla Colony and establishment of PHE Division Office, Pulwama.

Further 80 Kanal land situated at village Rakh-I-Asham, Sumbal (30 Kanal), Hajin (20 Kanal) and Bandipora (30 Kanal) in district Bandipora was transferred to Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) for creating dumping sites for solid waste management. Waste Management is an essential need of our cities to improve public health and lowering pollution levels.
