SRINAGAR: The Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) of Jammu and Kashmir held a meeting to look into the modalities for implementation of National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM) all across the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) prepared a presentation describing the roadmap for the possible implementation and rollout of online delivery of municipal services in all the urban local bodies.
Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) stated that the department has nearly 22 online services available to the public and the current initiative is to upgrade and integrate all the services provided by the department.
The meeting also discussed upon the union territory’s E-governance roadmap. It asked for suggestions from different stakeholders and their incorporation as per their benefits. The meeting dwelled on cost of the project for its implementation and timelines for its successful completion.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held with NIUA for the rolling out various municipal services in the urban local bodies.
