SHARM EL-SHEIKH: The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in association with the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched ‘In Our LiFEtime’ campaign to encourage the youth to act as message bearers of a sustainable lifestyle. The campaign was launched as a side event at India Pavilion at the 27th Conference of Parties (COP 27) in Sharm el-Sheikh.

While addressing the event at India Pavilion, Bhupender Yadav, Minister for Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, said, “One of the key stakeholders are the youth. Developing an understanding of the LiFE among the younger generations is essential for fostering responsible consumption patterns and influencing the lifestyle choices of the generations to come to make them Pro-Planet-People.”

The campaign is a global call for ideas from youth passionate about living environment-conscious lives. Under this programme, people between 18 to 23 years of age will be encouraged to share their climate actions that contribute to sustainable lifestyles and can be adopted globally.

Yadav added that ‘In Our LiFEtime’ will amplify voices of the climate-conscious youth and will recognise the young climate champions.
