Hyderabad gets six urban forest parks

HYDERABAD: A. Indra Karan Reddy, Minister of Forest and Environment, and P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Minister of Education, Government of Telangana on July 28, inaugurated six urban forest parks in the city of Hyderabad.

These six urban forest parks include the Manyamkancha Forest Park, Nagaram Forest Park, Pallegadda Forest Park, Sirigiripuram Forest Park, Srinagar Forest Park, and Tumaloor Forest Park. The parks have been developed with facilities such as visitors’ pathways, safari tracks, gazebos, washrooms, watch towers, and beaches. Unlike regular parks of the city, urban forest parks are spread over a large portion of land, wherein the smallest forest park expands over 58 hectares of land.
