AHMEDABAD: Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel on January 8, approved 6 town planning (TP) schemes. According to Times of India, Patel approved one preliminary TP scheme and two final TP schemes of Ahmedabad; one preliminary TP scheme and one final TP scheme of Surat; and one draft TP scheme of Vadodara. By approving these town planning schemes, CM Patel aims to realise the mission of the state government to keep the development of state’s cities on fast track.
The two preliminary TP schemes approved are Auda’s TP scheme No 429 (Godhavi-Manipur) and Surat Municipal Corporation’s TP scheme no 71 (Vadodara). Scheme No. 43 (Undera-Ankodia) of the Vadodara Urban Development Authority is one of the proposed TP schemes authorised by the CM. Surat’s TP Scheme No. 26 (Singanpore) and Ahmedabad’s TP Scheme No. 4-A (Sanand) and Scheme No. 94 (Hathijan-Ropada) are among the three final TP schemes authorised by the CM.
