GURUGRAM: In light of the growing number of registered complaints of faulty traffic lights from the city, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has launched an online service which will cater to such complaints and make the process more convenient for the citizens of Gurugram.

The complaints can now be registered on the authority’s website www.gmda.gov.in under online services. The authority is targeting setting up a four-hour response system to resolve the registered complaints.

“Residents will have to do one-time registration before logging on and filing a complaint. Following the registration process, the User Name, Mobile Number & E-mail ID is required. Post-one-time registration, the user will have to identify the location of the faulty traffic light from the drop-down menu of the complaint form and submit the complaint,” V. Umashankar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GMDA said.

“On submission of the complaint, the user will get the compliant acknowledgement number and reference number on their registered mobile number. The complaint will be forwarded to the concerned agency,” he added.

GMDA officials have ensured that the online service would enable them to establish a rapid and transparent complaint management system for faulty traffic lights in Gurugram. GMDA already offers online services for change of land use, water bills, building plan, occupancy certificates, stadium booking, water connection, new water drainage connection and water tanker.
