Digital door number system for all properties in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) is to develop a digital door number system which will include the use of Quick Response (QR), code number, unique property ID and GIS (Geographical Information System) mapping for all the residential and commercial buildings in Chandigarh. All the houses and buildings in Chandigarh will have the digital number plates as part of the Smart City project.

N P Sharma, Chief General Manager, CSCL, said that digital door number system is made to create a digital twin of buildings in Chandigarh through QR code and unique ID for each property. He added that all the properties will be available on GIS due to their geo-tagging and it will become what Aadhaar card is for the Indians.
