Delhi government releases ₹2,000 crore to MCD for paying salaries

NEW DELHI: The Government of Delhi, on Wednesday, February 1, released around ₹2,000 crore to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) so as to allow the corporation to give salaries and pensions to the employees of the urban local bodies (ULBs).

MCD officials confirmed the development and said that the ULB released ₹730 crore from the above-mentioned amount to pay salaries and pensions of the workers.
