NEW DELHI: Kailash Gahlot, Minister of Finance, Government of Delhi, will be presenting the budget of the national capital territory in the assembly session scheduled for March 17. This would be the first instance when Delhi budget will be presented by someone other than ex Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Kailash Gahlot was handed over the charge of Finance Department on March 2. Gahlot in a meeting with concerned city officials discussed the preparation of the new budget asking them to ensure that all the pending works are completed on time. He also informed that they are working on a citizen-centric and progressive budget. He said, “The upcoming Budget will prove to be a milestone in achieving the goals of making Delhi a world-class city.”
