NEW DELHI: The Indian Council for Medical Research(ICMR) said that people who recovered from SARS-Cov-2 infection can get infected again. Dr Balram Bhargava, Director-General, ICMR, said that several studies are suggesting that the antibodies developed during the first infection can survive only till the next 5 months.

Bhargava stressed that one should follow all precautionary guidelines and not become complacent, for the disease is new and people can recontract the infection when antibodies start depleting in the body.
