SHIMLA: An official spokesperson pronounced on Saturday, December 4, that Himachal Pradesh has become the first state with its adult population fully inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
Himachal Pradesh also bagged the position of the first state in the country to achieve 100 per cent first vaccination dose in the category of the adult population, by the end of August 2021. Around 53,86,393 eligible people have been administered the second jab of vaccine, the official added. Moreover, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur will be a venue for a special function being organised to honor the COVID-19 workers for their significant role in vaccinating the citizens.
Furthermore, in a statement by Suresh Kashyap, Member of Parliament, Shimla said that a separate out-patient department will also be inaugurated at and with this addition the health institute will be fully functional by June 2022.
