CM launched ‘Mo Cycle’ service in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR: Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha launched Public Bicycle Sharing (PBS) project ‘Mo Cycle’ and ‘Mo Cycle’ mobile app on November 26.

In the first phase, 1000 bicycles are available, which will be stationed at 120 points across the city. Citizens can use the service by paying Rs 100 per month while the ride for the first 30 minutes will be free.

Three feet wide bicycle tracks which are painted in red across the city are established by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). These bicycles have Global Positioning System (GPS) which will be helpful to locate the bicycles digitally.

The bicycle also has smart locks, which will enable the users to unlock it through a mobile application. It also has adjustable seats that account as a child-friendly feature and utility basket in the front providing riders with the freedom to offload baggage are significant features of the bicycles.
