NEW DELHI: In order to review the measures taken by states in fighting and controlling the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, a central team will visit Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana on Friday, June 26, to meet with state officials and strengthen ongoing efforts for management of Covid-19. The meeting will be led by Joint Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). During the four day visit, the central team will meet with state government officials from the three states and discuss their preparedness and review the measures undertaken by them for containment of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, although the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India, and particularly in the country’s virus hotspots, have been increasing sharply in the past few days, the Government of India is focusing more on promoting the rising recovery rate in the country. The recovery rate in India has improved to 57.43 per cent. Moreover, cases per lakh in India currently stand at 33.39 as against the world average of 120.21 cases per one lakh population.
