BNCMC increases ex-gratia of employees by Rs 900

THANE, Maharashtra: The Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC), situated in the Thane district of Maharashtra, has decided to increase the ex-gratia of its employees by ₹900, which will take the total ex-gratia amount to ₹11,000.

Vijaykumar Mhasal, Administrator and Municipal Commissioner, BNCMC on Wednesday, October 12, made the decision public after due consultation with the representatives of the workers’ unions.

Sunil Zalke, speaking on behalf of the civic body, noted that the decision will benefit around 4,317 employees of the corporation. Earlier, ₹4 crore was needed for the payment of ex-gratia, but now additional ₹75 lakh will be required.
