BMC plans 5 km cycle track between Mahim fort and Bandra fort

MUMBAI: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to build a cycle track along the beach between Mahim Fort and Bandra fort, spanning 5 kilometres (km). The project was suggested by Aditya Uddhav Thackeray, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Government of Maharashtra, in a meeting and site visit on Monday, January 18, with senior civic officials with jurisdiction over the area.

Thackeray asked Kiran Dighavkar, Assistant Commissioner of the G-North ward, to check the practicality of the project. Dighavkar said that during the site visit, Thackrey proposed the cycle track and has asked BMC to check the possibility of the project.
