KOLKATA: Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to become the second municipal body in West Bengal to set up organic waste converters (OWC) after Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC). BMC has finalised the spots and will soon start work to set up first two OWC units – one beside BJ block market in Salt Lake and another behind City Centre II Mall in Rajarhat. According to BMC officials, they will soon float tenders to engage agencies for the work.
