AGARTALA, Tripura: Agartala Smart City Ltd. (ASCL) was awarded for its ‘sustainable business model’ under Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) category at the ‘Smart City Smart Urbanization’ conclave held in Surat, Gujarat.
The 3-day long ‘Smart City Smart Urbanization’ conclave began on April 22. The event was jointly organised by the Ministry for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India and Surat Smart City Corporation Development Ltd., at Surat International and Exhibition and Convention Center (SIECC) in Surat, Gujarat.
Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Chief Executive Officer, ASCL and Municipal Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation, received the award from Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Along with the felicitation of winners of the India Smart City Awards Contest 2020, various other initiatives were launched such as Urban Outcome Framework 2022; AMPLIFI, an integrated data portal of ministry; and Output Outcome Dashboard for Smart Cities Mission. Also, a Memoranda of Understanding was signed between the Smart Cities Mission and World Economic Forum to jointly establish a ‘virtual hub for collaboration on urban transformation’.
